According to a book titled Muslim Travellers Guide to Singapore, there are several halal restaurants in the area, including those in a food court named 1983 – A Taste of Nanyang, kompas.com reported. Located at the north end of level B2, across Rasapura, it serves halal foods such as Kaya toast, nasi lemak (rice steamed with coconut milk), cendol (rice flour droplets), Nasi Padang, chicken rice and roasted chicken noodles.

Patrons can also find halal foods at Rasapura, which has adapted a hawker-style concept. Some of the highlights at the place include Boon Tat Street Barbecue Seafood, Nyonya & Baba Peranakan Cuisine that serves Malay and Chinese food, and Indian Express that offers kebabs, butter chicken and much more.
In addition to food, Muslim travelers can also expect to find a prayer room at the mall. It is available on the third floor of Sands Expo & Convention Center. Ablution can be conducted at the nearest toilet. (kes)
