T

witter users will be able to upload large-size GIF of up to 15 MB per tweet. Previously, Twitter only allowed for GIF uploads of up to 5 MB.

The GIF should have a maximum resolution of 1280 x 1080 and less than 350 frames, explained Twitter representatives explaining that the social media platform had established guidelines that need to be followed in order to ensure that the large-size GIF uploads work.

Twitter had earlier expanded the duration limit on entertainment network Vine to 140 seconds from only 6 seconds, kompas.com reported. It also expanded the length for in-app video streaming to 140 seconds (2 minutes and 20 seconds) from an initial 30-second limit, matching Vine. (kes)
