O

ne of the busiest airports in the world, Changi, is one of Singapore's most popular shopping and culinary destinations thanks to its 300 shopping spots and over 140 restaurants and cafes.

To further boost its shopping reputation, Changi is continuing its annual program "Be a Changi Millionaire" that chooses its winners by accumulating their shopping points with S$50 (US$36) as the minimum purchase. Ending in October, customers can collect points by shopping from iShopChangi and the Changi Rewards Loyalty Program.

“Be a Changi Millionaire is a competition with the biggest cash prize given for retail promotion out of all airports worldwide. It is very popular among travelers,” said Changi Airport Group assistant vice president for corporate and marketing communication, Dennis Yim.

To participate in the competition, the customers only need to scan the barcode from their payment proof in the self-help kiosks that are available across Changi terminals or by submitting their entry form on the official website

Still looking for four finalists this month, the competition rewards its champion with S$1 million, meanwhile the other seven finalists will bring home S$5,000 plus an additional vacation package to vacation in Singapore.

Several Indonesians have previously won the competition, such as entrepreneur Irvung Tio, who became the first winner in 2013 and Jan Louise Hartono, who came out as one of the finalists in 2015. (kes)
