Prisma's latest update allows users to broadcast via Facebook while utilizing the app's eight filter options. However, the feature is currently only available on iPhone 6s and 7s. "Using the filter for live video requires large battery power. Only devices with the latest hardware are able to carry out the action," said Prisma as reported by kompas.com.

The Prisma app itself is available on both iOS and Android devices, having quickly gained recognition for its artwork-like filter effects.
Facebook has also launched its own filter feature that can be used for photos, videos and live videos, set to be available soon for the US market.
There were previously rumors that Facebook would acquire Prisma following a visit by the latter's CEO Alexey Moiseenkov to the former's headquarters. (fmn/kes)
