s part of their year-end performance, the notable Resonanz Music Studio orchestra held a special concert themed “Hollywood in Jakarta”.

Performed at Teater Jakarta in Taman Ismail Marzuki, Central Jakarta, on Saturday, the troupe presented popular movie soundtracks from various genres and eras.

Conducted by Avip Priatna, the Resonanz amazed the audience by performing songs from movies like Grease (1978), Pitch Perfect (2012), Love Affair (1994), The Twilight Saga (2011), Jaws (1975), Mission: Impossible (1996), The Polar Express (2004), Despicable Me (2013) and Frozen (2013).

The concert also brought young talented singers on the stage, such as Farman Purnama, Lisa Depe and Stefani Yang as well as young pianist Jennifer Chrysanta Salim. The performers were accompanied by Jakarta Concert Orchestra alongside award-winning choir groups Batavia Madrigal Singers and the Resonanz Children’s Choir.

“This year was a year full of hard work, challenges and various achievements, all due to support from everyone who allowed us to grow,” said Avip Priatna in a press release. “This concert is a form of appreciation, as well as a present for all classical music enthusiasts in Indonesia and everyone who has supported us.” (kes)
