inger Mondo Gascaro released his first solo album, entitled Rajakelana, at end of November 2016. Mondo said the album is a celebration of his life.

“The songs in the album are generally an expression of a life celebration. It means I am grateful for my current life phase,” he said to kompas.com on Saturday.

“To be able to make it to this point in life after the journey with the Sore band deserves a celebration,” he added.

The former member of the jazz band Sore started creating songs for Rajakelana in 2014, releasing several singles in the process including “Saturday Light”, “Kemorebi” and hipster favorite, “A Deacon’s Summer”.

All songs on the album were composed and written by Mondo Gascaro, while for the music arrangement Mondo was assisted by Dimas Pradipta on drums, Petrus Bayu Prabowo on bass, Lafa Pratomo on guitar and Belanegara Abimanyu on percussion.

With an "Indonesiana" music styling that infuses various Indonesian musical influences, Mondo also collaborates with a number of musicians, such as Bonita Adi, Alexandria Deni, Jay Afrisando and Aprilia Apsari from retro-pop band White Shoes and the Couples Company.

Rajakelana was produced independently via Mondo’s indie label, Ivy League Music.
