ealth enthusiasts may find this particular piece of clothing interesting as it is able to monitor the wearer's heart rate.
Created by Polar, a company that specializes in heart-rate and sports performance monitoring products, the Polar Team Pro Shirt may seem like a regular-looking sleeveless shirt, but it is actually equipped with a heart-rate tracking sensor sewn inside its chest, which is designed to be an alternative for athletes who are used to wearing similar equipment via a chest strap.
According to dailysocial.id, aside from the heart-rate monitoring function, the shirt can also monitor speed, mileage and acceleration thanks to a sensor that fits in the pocket of the shirt's back collar. All the data can later be evaluated through the accompanying mobile app.

Polar are actually not the first ones to use such a concept. Ralph Lauren, for instance, has previously released similar smart clothing named the PoloTech shirt. However, the sewn-inside-sensor is said to be the factor that differentiates the Polar Team Pro Shirt from other products on the market.
Set to be released in March, the shirt reportedly will be available in many sizes, from S to XL. No pricing has been announced yet. (mas/kes)
