tephen Amell, the lead star of the sought-after TV series “Arrow,” places his superhero abilities to the test as he competes in the “American Ninja Warrior.”
As seen in the sneak peek at the show, Amell endures the barbarous obstacle course that tormented thousands of ninja wannabees and professional athletes during the past seasons. Zealous fans should tune in if Amell’s stamina could endure and boost his chances to reach Mount Midoriyama, which is the finals course.
Amell, 36, first expressed his gutsy interest in competing in “American Ninja Warrior” last year through a tweet.

His appearance is part of the show’s Red Nose Day Special on May 25, which also guests dancer Derek Hough, retired Olympian decathlete Ashton Eaton, and former baseball superstar Nick Swisher.
On “Arrow,” Amell jets off as Oliver Queen, a wealthy playboy who morphs into Green Arrow, based on the DC superhero of the same name. He is joined by Kate Cassidy, Emily Bett Rickards, David Ramsey and Colin Donnell.
