Makeup artists share tips in collaborative book ‘Face on Point’ In addition to the makeup tutorials, 'Face on Point' also reveals the trio’s career journey. (Shutterstock/File)

T

hree generations of makeup artists, Irwan Riady, Adi Adrian and Marlene Hariman, launched a tutorial book titled Face on Point on Monday.

Featuring local celebrities as models, the book explores wedding-makeup techniques, varying from Javanese and Sundanese to Balinese brides, as well as party and daily makeup in step-by-step tutorials.

In addition to makeup tutorials, it also reveals the trio’s career journey. 

During a media gathering in Jakarta, Marlene said the book was created in response to current beauty trends.

Meanwhile, Adi shared that they initially wanted to focus on wedding makeup. However, during the development, they decided to cover daily makeup too.

Adi expressed his hope that aspiring makeup artists as well as beauty enthusiasts could learn the correct way of doing makeup from the book.

Following the launch, the trio also plan to host workshops, road shows as well as release the second edition of Face on Point.

The book is available at Gramedia book stores for Rp 350,000 (US$26). (kes)
