ore than 5,000 people flocked to the Malawati Stadium in Shah Alam, Malaysia, to watch performances by Indonesian singer Afgansyah "Afgan" Reza and pop band Ungu on Oct. 6.

Ungu, who has been in the music industry for more than 20 years, kicked off the Konser Terunggul Afgan dan Ungu (The Best of Afgan and Ungu Concert) that night with one of their singles “Hatiku Hampa” (My Heart is Empty).

The band, comprising Pasha, Enda, Onci, Makki and Roman, continued the show by performing their other popular tracks, such as “Percaya Padaku” (Believe in Me), “Untukmu Selamanya” (For You Forever), “Aku Tahu” (I Know), “Andai Ku Tahu” (I Wish I Knew), “Bila Tiba” (When It Comes) and “Kekasih Gelapku” (My Mistress).

The band also sang a duet with Idayu, one of the contestants of Malaysian TV show Akademi Fantasia Megastar, singing “Tercipta Untukku” (Made for Me).

Afgan later came on stage to perform “Pesan Cinta” (Love Message), which is the first single from his third album Live to Love, Love to Live.

Accompanied by his own team, The Gandarianz, he entertained his fans with music from his latest album Sides, such as “X,” “Jalan Terus” (Keep Walking) and “Knock Me Out.”

Afgan also sang some of his popular tracks, such as “Katakan Tidak” (Say No), “Bukan Cinta Biasa” (Not an Ordinary Love), “Terima Kasih Cinta” (Thank You Love), “Jodoh Pasti Bertemu” (Soulmate will Eventually Meet), “Percayalah” (Trust Me), “Dia Dia Dia” (She She She) and “Panah Asmara” (Love Arrow).

The audiences then witnessed the singer and band performed together, singing one of Ungu’s most notable songs, “Cinta Yang Lain” (The Other Love).

The concert, which went on for almost three hours, was closed with a meet-and-greet session for a selected audience. (kes)
