amsung seems to have fired shots at rival Apple’s iPhone in a new commercial. The Korean tech giant is convincing loyalists of Apple’s flagship phone to make the switch.
In Samsung’s new ad, it featured a man getting his hands on a first generation iPhone in 2007. Over the years, he upgraded his unit, but encountered problems such as low storage capacity and no waterproofing.
Samsung poked fun at other iPhone features such as that of writing on notes with a stylus and the recent move of killing the headphone jack.

The ad ultimately showed the man shifting to a Galaxy Note 8. It also showed people falling in a shorter line for the release of the iPhone X, unlike when the first iPhone came out ten years ago.
Despite being rivals, it was earlier reported by The Wall Street Journal that Samsung may even benefit from iPhone X sales, as the company manufactures organic light emitting diode (OLED) for the phone’s screens.
