Fans beware: The official trailer for the epic two-part finale of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been released on Wednesday.
The hype for the trailer was elevated a day earlier, when Marvel released a teaser trailer that showed a handful of fans reacting to the actual trailer playing offscreen. It ended with a giant, bold text that said the official trailer would be released the following day.
The official trailer featured appearances from Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johanson), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and several other superheroes audiences around the world have come to know and love.
The trailer builds up the Avengers: Infinity War’s main villain, Thanos, played by Josh Brolin, with clips showcasing Thanos’s might as he goes head-to-head with some of our favorite heroes.
According to Vanity Fair, it may not be over for the Marvel Cinematic Universe just yet. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has stated that the studio has 20 upcoming films that are set after the events of the Infinity War.
The two-part finale was the first movie in the Avengers series to be shot entirely with an IMAX camera, Variety said.
Avengers: Infinity War part one will be released on May 4, 2018, while part two is slated for release on May 3, 2019. (ezr/kes)
