About 1,322 Indonesians welcomed 2018 by using Uber.
According to an official release, it outstripped the competition by a country mile in Jakarta. Meanwhile, a driver in Bandung, West Java, broke the record for the highest number of trips -- 13 -- during rush hour on New Year’s Eve.

Uber also revealed Indonesians’ traveling trends and insights in 2017. It said that the most popular time to order an Uber trip in Indonesia is on Fridays at 5 p.m., right after working hours. Meanwhile in Jakarta, residents and visitors mostly use the service on Wednesdays at 9 a.m.
The US-based ride-sharing app also listed five popular traveling destinations among their customers in Jakarta, namely Bandung in West Java, Surabaya in East Java, Bali, Singapore and Yogyakarta. (asw)
