eople who fail to register their prepaid SIM cards by April 30 will no longer be able to use them, said Communications and Information Minister Rudiantara on Monday.
"After midnight [all unregistered SIM cards] will no longer be active. There's no other way," said Rudiantara at the ministry's office on Monday afternoon as quoted by kompas.com.

It was previously announced that unregistered prepaid SIM cards would have their numbers blocked on May 1, but would still be able to send a text message to 4444 to register as long as the grace period had not ended.
However, the regulation was revised on Monday afternoon, with Rudiantara confirming that the last day of registration would be April 30. (kes)
