ath Inc., the umbrella company of Yahoo!, announced last month that the instant messaging app Yahoo Messenger would stop operating on July 17.
Introduced in 1998, Yahoo Messenger was a popular messaging app for those who grew up in the 2000s.
If you happen to be a Yahoo Messenger loyal user, fret not, as Yahoo is enabling users to download their chat history until November.

According to kompas.com, all you need to do is to go to the downloader request site and sign-in.
After signing in, you will need to select a verification method and enter the account key sent to you via text message in your registered phone number.
Click download and enter the email address where you want the file sent. After clicking OK, you can expect the chat history to be sent to your email. (jes/kes)
