Breathtakingly set at 2,000 meters above sea level, the festival will see ethnic-concept jazz performances by Djaduk Ferianto, Butet Kertaredjasa and Sigit Pramono from July 27 to 29. The three-day event is a day longer than previous editions.
There will also be an art exhibition at Jiwa Jawa Resorts complex gallery, with photographs by Sigit and Djaduk, as well as Butet’s ceramic artworks.
“Other than marking our friendship, this exhibition also highlights how there are no limitations in art,” said Butet during the exhibition opening on Saturday.
Djaduk, who is a musician, explores less well-known artists who have an important role in creating sounds, in his photos. “My photo objects are people or artists who are little known by the public, such as gamelan artisans and street musicians,” he said.
