ews broke less than a month ago that Victor Miller had regained the rights to his screenplay of Friday the 13th. Now, following the success of Halloween, it seems that NBA superstar and producer LeBron James’ SpringHill Entertainment and Vertigo Entertainment are looking to work together to bring back legendary horror character Jason Vorhees for a reboot.

Bloody Disgusting first broke the news of the possible team up between James and Vertigo on Monday.

According to the article, James tweeted using his @KingJames Twitter handle about the match-up in a post that read, “Friday the 13th! Jason Vorhees is one of my favorites. Still don’t understand how he caught people running and he just walked though."

Last year, James wore a Pennywise costume and released Friday the 13th themed sneakers, showing much love for the horror icon.

However, future legal battles over the intellectual property may still be possible -- the legal decision by United States District Court Judge Stefan Underhill seems to imply that Miller holds all rights to locations and characters within the story, though producers Horror Incorporated and Warner Brothers still control certain international territories.
