Veteran actor and fashion designer Robby Tumewu passed away at 12:05 a.m. Monday.
Veteran actor and fashion designer Robby Tumewu has passed away at the age of 65, kompas.com reports.
Actress and friend Becky Tumewu shared on her Instagram account that the actor passed away at 12:05 a.m. on Monday.
“Robby had been sick for a long time, [we don’t need] to talk about his illness anymore. He passed away this morning at 12:05 a.m.,” she writes.
His remains will be transferred to the Oasis Lestari Funeral Home in Tangerang, Banten.
Born in 1953, Robby was known as a fashion designer. However, after getting involved in Teater Koma’s productions, Robby’s interest in acting blossomed.
On the small screen, Robby was best known for his role in the comedy show Lenong Rumpi.
In 2010, Robby reportedly suffered a stroke and had to undergo brain surgery. Three years later, the actor suffered a second stroke. (jes/kes)
