Displays of sparkling jewelry are likely to be seen in the biopic Rocketman, set to be released later in May.
The character of Elton John, played by British actor Taron Egerton, appears in many scenes wearing creations of watch and jewelry house Chopard. A statement released by the maison confirmed that it had partnered with the film as its exclusive jeweler.
Items from Happy Hearts, Happy Diamonds and Happy Spirit jewelry collections are among those worn by Elton, whose development of personal style is subtly portrayed in the movie. Happy Sport watches and opulent models from the Animal World Haute Joaillerie range are also part of the wardrobe, according to the statement.

Julian Day, costume designer for Rocketman, said he wanted to recreate the flamboyant persona of Sir Elton John through the costume designs.
“I was so pleased to have been able to have access to authentic pieces of jewelry to emphasize the outfits,” Day was quoted as saying.
Chopard has been contributing to the production of feature films such as Midnight in Paris, Nine, Elizabeth - The Golden Age and Diana, not to mention its presence at the heart of major international cinema-related events such as Cannes International Film Festival as an official partner. (mut)
