Melly Goeslaw asks concertgoers to pray for Vidi Aldiano’s recovery

ollowing news that Vidi Aldiano has been diagnosed with kidney cancer, Melly Goeslaw made a special mention of the 29-year-old fellow singer during her concert with Hedi Yunus in Bandung, West Java, on Saturday.

During her performance, Melly asked concertgoers to pray for Vidi's speedy recovery while a picture of him was displayed on the stage’s screen.

“I ask you to pray for my friend Vidi, who has been diagnosed with kidney cancer. He has gone through surgery and is still very young. Hopefully he is granted a speedy recovery,” she said tearfully as reported by tempo.co.

The gesture made news as Melly has previously been embroiled in conflicts Vidi and other celebrities such as Rossa, Bubah Alfian and Bunga Citra Lestari after Bubah wore a costume that parodied Melly in Hollywood in late October. 

Vidi expressed appreciation on Instagram Stories, saying he was touched by Melly’s kind gesture. (gis/kes)
