The picture of Soeharto on the cover of Tempo has certain similarities to The Last Supper, so outrage from certain Christian followers is really understandable. Also, I think that's what Tempo was aiming for. Controversy brings buyers.
The pictures of our Prophet Muhammad not only stigmatized Muslims as terrorists, it is also against our believes to draw, or depict our Prophets and God in any media of any kind. So outrage from Muslim communities is also very much understandable.
Your comments on how we Muslims do not realize how great God is, are just offensive and rude, not to mention disrespectful.
You should realize that religion is a very sensitive matter to discuss, and having another party, especially a non-Muslim, comment in such a way about Muslims is just rude.
For the sake of reducing conflicts that plague our world, and for the sake of your own safety, think first before you comment on anything.
Also, The Jakarta Post as a respectable, high quality publication, should filter through the comments of readers before publishing anything to avoid any outrage in the future.
