YOGYAKARTA: Actress Jenny Rahman tied the knot with banker Supradjarto in Yogyakarta on Friday, surrounded by some 150 guests and relatives.
Chairman of Muhammadiyah Islamic organization Din Syamsuddin acted as Jenny's legal guardian and businessman Hutomo "Tommy Soeharto" Mandala Putra acted as witness.
Jenny's spokesperson, Alicia Djohar, said the wedding went smoothly, with the 48-year-old bride wearing a gray kebaya blouse while the 52-year-old groom donned Javanese attire in green.
"The wedding reception is to be held Friday night at the same venue with 600 guests," Alicia told Antara, referring to the Amarta ballroom at the Melia Purosani Hotel.
Jenny and Supradjarto, who is a Bank BRI director, met while performing an umrah pilgrimage five months ago.
"I hope this wedding will be the last for them," said Din, adding it was the first time he had acted as a legal guardian in a wedding.
Several artists attended the wedding, including Rima Melati, Ida Leman and Herman Felani. -- JP
