JAKARTA: Worn out by her sinetron (TV soap) shooting schedule during the fasting month, actress Cinta Laura recently fainted at school.
"Cinta fainted because she was exhausted from shooting," Cinta's mother, Herdiana, was quoted as saying by detik.com during an appearance at the Central Jakarta District Court on Tuesday.
Herdiana said in the last two months that Cinta, who was born in Germany on Aug. 17, 1993, had been so busy with her shooting schedule that she only managed to get around three hours of sleep every night.
Herdiana added that she had asked Cinta, who is fasting during Ramadan, to postpone her shooting activities for a while.
"She refuses to take a break. She feels that she has an obligation. I have asked her to choose between acting in sinetron or a singing career.
"I feel sorry for her, amid all her activities she still has to go to school," said Herdiana. -- JP
