Lulu in two minds about acting

JAKARTA: It seems a long career as a TV soap opera is not enough to convince Lulu Tobing to set foot back in the world of acting.
After marrying Danny Rukmana, the grandson of the late former president Soeharto, three years ago, fans have seen neither hide nor hair of Lulu – she has not appeared in a single soap opera, movie, or commercial – not so much as a mention on a celebrity gossip TV shows.
“I’m now a happy housewife,” Lulu told reporters after a movie preview here recently. “I don’t feel bored at all. It’s fun this way.”
On the question of whether being a housewife is as much fun as acting, Lulu gave a short answer.
“Actually, my love is set for acting,” she said.
However, she has not planned anything yet for this love of her life.
“No, I can’t decide for now, because I don’t really know whether I really want to act again or not,” Lulu said.
“But if I can choose, maybe I prefer to be behind the screen.” —JP
