ENPASAR: Alliance Francaise (AF) Denpasar in cooperation with the French Embassy organized a two-day French Film Festival over the weekend. The annual event was held at the Studio 21 Cineplex in Kuta.
The festival featured five movies; Tout est pardonn* directed by Mia Hansen-Love, 13m2 a thriller by Barth*l*my Grossmann, Ceux qui restent a comedy by Anne Le Ny, La t*te de maman by Carine Tardieu and a historical movie Jean de la Fontaine, le d*fi, by Daniel Vigne.
"The festival features the richness and diversity of French cinematic landscape," AF Denpasar director Audrey Lamou said.
A spectator, Ni Wayan Astini praised the free-of-charge policy of the festival.
However, she lamented the fact the movies' subtitles were are all in English.
