he Bali Police have named Bangli education office employee Dewa Swardjana a new suspect in the murder of journalist Anak Agung Gede Prabangsa, an official said Tuesday.
Bali Police criminal and investigative department head Sr. Commissioner Ahmad Nur Wakhid said the suspect had been taken into custody on Monday in Bangli regency.
"We now have 10 suspects in custody," he said.
"On Tuesday we will hold a reconstruction of the crime."
Ahmad added the police had received important information from the other nine suspects.
"According to the information, *Swardjana* visited the *crime scene* soon after the victim was executed," he said.
Those already arrested for their alleged roles in the murder are: I Nyoman Susrama (the brother of Bangli Regent I Nengah Arnawa), Komang Gede, Komang Gde Wardana, Rencana, Endy, Jampes, Gus Oblong, Maong and Dewa Sumbawa.
"We expect to glean more information from the 10 suspects to thoroughly investigate the case," Ahmad added.
Bali Police chief Insp. Gen T. Ashikin said the police would ensure tight security for the two-hour reconstruction process.
Five suspects will be involved in the process, but not alleged mastermind Susrama.
Prabangsa, a national desk editor with the Radar Bali daily, was found dead floating in the waters off Karangasem, in eastern Bali.
His murder is believed to be closely linked with his reporting on irregularities in a project at the Bangli Education Office.
An investigation into Bangli Regent Arnawa is on hold, pending permission from President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. "We will follow existing procedures to avoid any legal discrepancies," Ashikin said.
State-owned insurer PT Jamsostek has paid out Rp 123.6 million in life insurance to Prabangsa's family.
Prabangsa's wife, Sagung Mas Prihantini, and her second son received the money from Jamsostek director Abimanyu Unanto Dwi.
