PURBALINGGA, Central Java: The Owabong recreational park in Purbalingga regency offered a 50-percent cut in entrance tickets for those who had voted Wednesday
URBALINGGA, Central Java: The Owabong recreational park in Purbalingga regency offered a 50-percent cut in entrance tickets for those who had voted Wednesday.
"The discount is valid only for those who have cast their votes by showing their ink-stained fingers," said park spokesman Agus Dwiyangkoro.
He added around 3,000 visitors with ink-tinted fingers had already visited the park as of 2 p.m. that day, while 1,500 visitors entered by buying normal-priced tickets.
According to Agus, the move aimed to contribute to making the presidential election a success and was one of the park's various efforts to boost entrance ticket sales.
"We also wish to dispel remarks blaming recreational sites for low voter turnout. This time we want to prove that the presence of a recreation park can also make the election a success in Purbalingga." - JP
