Fugitive Anggoro Widjojo spotted in Singapore

J

AKARTA: The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has sent picture of fugitive Anggoro Widjojo, who was last spotted in Singapore, to the National Police.

"We sent the picture of Anggoro Widjojo as a wanted person to the police on Friday," KPK spokesman Johan Budi said on Sunday.

Anggoro, director of PT Masaro Radiokom, was allegedly involved in a bribery case revolving around a Forestry Ministry's radio communication system (SKRT) procurement project, with a total budget of Rp 180 billion (US$12,72 million) between 2006 and 2007.

Anggoro is suspected of having bribed former legislator Yusuf Erwin Faishal and others working in Commission IV overseeing forestry and agriculture issues at the House of Representatives - Fachri Andi Leluasa, Hilman Indra and Azwar Chesputra - as well as several forestry ministry officials.
