AKARTA: Seven property owners whose land in West Jakarta was acquired by the state to make way for the Jakarta Outer Ring Road received compensation Friday.
The payments, a total Rp 3.58 billion (US$376,000), were reportedly one month late.
The land owners had gathered at North Meruya subdistrict office to get their money. They had to sign documents of transfer of ownership, witnessed by West Jakarta Mayor Djoko Ramadhan, beritajakarta.com reported.
Upon signing, the land owners received a bank account number and a cash card for immediate withdrawal
