Four children contract HIV in Bekasi

JAKARTA: Four toddlers in Bekasi, West Java, have contracted HIV from their parents in the past nine months, an NGO said Monday.

The babies ranged from 2 to 5 years, and two had died recently, kompas.com reported. One Heart Woman manager Nadila said her NGO had learned about the HIV-positive children after conducting a joint study with several hospitals in Bekasi. - JP
