JAKARTA: Actor and model Bertrand Antolin is getting stressed out working on his debut album.

"*The album* making is in process. We're preparing the album right now. I am stressed out because I have to finish eight songs this month," Bertrand said as quoted by Kapanlagi.com.

He said he wasn't trying to cash in on his popularity by plunging into the music world, but was working hard to improve his singing. He said people had once laughed at him because he attempted a duet with Malaysian singer Siti Nurhaliza.

"I've done a duet with Siti Nurhaliza. That was embarrassing. I've done karaoke in front of my friends. They laughed at me and ridiculed me. That was a real incentive," he said.

"I immediately looked for a teacher who could teach me every day. I got a really stern teacher. I was once told *I had to* sing at a wedding and I got beads of sweat as big as corn," he said.

Bertrand said he would retire from acting in soap operas (sinetron) for the moment to focus on his album.

"I have to give it a break because I have to make the album. I don't even have time to go to the mall. Because this is all still new and *I'm* so enthusiastic," he said.

He said he would like to do a duet with up-and-coming pop singers such as Vidi Aldiano and Afgan Syah Reza. - JP
