Last three victims in landslide found

BANDUNG: The search and rescue team recovered the remaining three victims Saturday from the landslides in Cianjur on Friday, raising the death toll to 10.

The landslide, the second deadly incident to hit West Java in less than a month, took place at Leuwinanggung hamlet, Sukamekar village, Sukanagara district, Cianjur regency.

"The three victims were lifted this morning and were buried later not far from the disaster site," Prayogi, spokesman of the Cianjur administration office said Saturday afternoon.

Five people were injured in the incident, which followed a more deadly landslide last month that killed 33 people at a tea plantation area in Bandung regency. - JP
