PDI-P, PKB nominees win Boyolali election

Only 66 percent of the 769,994 registered voters cast their vote

BOYOLALI, Central Java: Seno Samodro and his running mate Agus Purmanto, who were nominated by the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) and the National Awakening Party (PKB), have won the Boyolali election. Based on a quick count by the election commission, the pair collected 264,736 or 44 percent of the votes as of late Sunday. (The Jakarta Post)
<P>In second place was Daryono-Joko Widodo (34 percent), followed by Al Hisyam-Sugiarto (22 percent).
