JAKARTA: The hearing of the pre-trial lawsuit filed by former National Police chief detective Comr
AKARTA: The hearing of the pre-trial lawsuit filed by former National Police chief detective Comr. Gen. Susno Duadji will commence Monday at the South Jakarta District Court, his lawyer said last week.
"Our legal basis for this lawsuit is that Susno's detention was not procedural and my client was named a suspect despite insufficient evidence," Mohammad Assegaf said.
Susno has been held at the National Police detention center at the Mobile Brigade headquarters in Kelapa Dua, Depok, West Java, for the past two weeks.
The police named Susno a graft suspect for allegedly receiving Rp 500 million (US$54,000) in bribes from Sjahril Djohan.
Sjahril, also a suspect in the case, testified that he handed over the money at Susno's house in Cinere, Depok, West Java, according to a leaked police document. - JP
