he central government is finalizing the Transjabodetabek mass transportation concept which would integrate Jakarta’s satellite cities of Bogor, Depok and Bekasi in West Java, and Tangerang in Banten.
“The concept is a continuation of the existing TransJakarta network,” land transportation director general Elly Sinaga said Wednesday as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
The initial route will connect the Poris Plawad bus terminal in Tangerang with the Kalideres bus terminal in West Jakarta.
“The route is expected to be operational by the end of this year,” she said.
The Transportation Ministry is also currently making final decisions on the proposed
Jakarta-Depok and Jakarta-Bekasi busway routes.
“These routes should be determined by end of this month,” Elly said.
