OGYAKARTA: Gold, silver and bronze coins, believed to be ancient, have been recovered at the Kimpulan excavation area, located behind the Indonesia Islamic University campus in Yogyakarta.
“We are still studying the findings to learn the details,” said Herni Pramastuti, the head of the Yogyakarta Heritage Conservation Center.
The Kimpulan excavation has recovered statues of the Hindu god Ganesha and Lingga Yoni. — JP
