AKARTA: Flag carrier Garuda Indonesia increases its Denpasar-Osaka flights from a five-times weekly service into a daily flight starting Thursday to response to the market demand.
Garuda will depart from Ngurah Rai International Airport just outside Denpasar at 12:55 a.m. local time (11:55 p.m. Jakarta time) and arrive at Osaka’s Kansai International Airport at 8:30 a.m. local time (6:30 a.m. Jakarta time).
The returning flight departs Osaka at 11 a.m. local time and arrives in Denpasar at 5:15 p.m. local time.
The flight will use a two-class Airbus A330-300 with 42 business-class seats and 215 economy-class seats, the airline said Thursday in a statement.
Vice president corporate communications Pujobroto said Garuda offered a number of amenities on board the flights as well as Japanese flight attendants for easier communication with Japanese passengers.
Garuda also provides immigration processing onboard allowing passengers to acquire a visa-on-arrival before they land in Denpasar.
The airline also has daily flights for routes linking Tokyo with Jakarta and Denpasar.
It also has a three-time weekly flight linking Nagoya with Denpasar. — JP
