Comment: Insensitive statement

O

em>Oct. 29, Online: President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s special staff on social assistance and disaster prevention Andi Arief says that House of Representatives speaker Marzuki Alie must stop defending himself from the public who deem him insensitive towards the Mentawai tsunami victims.
“Marzuki Alie, apologize immediately, so we can all concentrate to save people, not commenting on comments!” Andi said on his twitter account, @AndiAriefNew, on Friday.

Please note the following: “Furthermore, Marzuki, who is a House of Representatives speaker, also said that legislators had more
important foreign trips to conduct than to visit disaster victims.”
That does it. A simple apology from this grossly insensitive person is not enough.
He needs to be fired, as he obviously doesn’t have honor or integrity enough to resign.

Again we see a person from the House who doesn’t think before delivering statements. He is very narrow-minded and shows his arrogance.
SBY must choose people who are knowledgeable, educated, and sensitive if he is to get a positive response from the public.
This is not the first time Marzuki has made a mistake.

Force him out of his position, and let him work for the victims. Afterwards he should not be allowed to leave the islands for the rest of his life (which may be short because the people there will kill him).
