ANDUNG: One person was killed and another seriously injured when a landslide hit a residential area in Bandung on Tuesday.
The victim, identified as Endang, was buried under debris, while Dadang Juhana was injured and reportedly in critical condition.
Witnesses said the incident took place around 8 p.m. during heavy rain.
“People heard sliding land like a house collapsing. A thundering sound was heard twice,” resident Usman Suherman said.
Endang’s body was found on Wednesday.
Vice Governor Yusuf Macan Effendi had earlier warned residents about the threat of landslides.
