he Kerinci Police and Kerinci and Sungaipenuh Education Offices have signed a memorandun of understanding on the inclusion of traffic education in school curricula.
“Hopefully the traffic lessons can begin in 2011,” Kerinci Police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Hastho Rahardjo said.
Hastho said school children would learn about the rules of the road and how to obey them.
“This is related to their own driving safety,” he said, adding that a wider knowledge of traffic regulations would hopefully reduce the high rate of traffic accidents, which largely involved students in 2010.
