AKARTA: Ahmad Sakir, 29, a reporter with private television station Trans 7, died from an asthma attack during a scuba diving test in Thousand Islands regency on Saturday, according to doctors.
Trans 7 news division head Titin Rosmasari said that Ahmad was preparing for his final diving test with a colleague from the production division after they passed a pool session test and a theory class.
“Before the session, he complained that he was in pain and needed some medications,” she said as quoted by kompas.com.
Ahmad, a Trans 7 reporter since 2007, is survived by his wife and 4-year-old twin sons. — JP
