Comments: Letter: We are born vegetarian

J

strong>July 19, p. 8

I have been a vegetarian on and off since I was 18. My father was formerly a strict vegan, being a martial trainer of the Siong Tie Hwee Association in Bandung during the late 1930s and early 1940s. I am now 71.

Thank God, I am still healthy and strong. All of my family always told me I was a fool for restricting my diet to vegetables.

I am glad my wife, who is an obstetrician, is also a vegetarian. We have enjoyed perfect health until today.

I would not exchange our lifestyle regardless of whatever people think of veganism or vegetarians. (By Sammy Lee, Sydney, Australia)

I sincerely believe that you are telling the truth, but why too many Europeans eat too much meat/ham /mince or meat products?

A Brahman-Hindu told me some years ago that meat-eating makes people aggressive, but eating vegetables does not!

All the Homo species over millions of years evolved with molars of a Y5 type, which are meat grinders.

This is a scientific fact, not open for debate.

Adam and Eve are mythological stories for the ignorant to give a simple explanation for past unknowns.
