AKARTA: The sisters of Moerdiono, popularly called Nono, said that the family acknowledged the late state secretary’s marriage to former model and designer Poppy Dharsono (see the photo).

However, they denied a rumored second marriage to dangdut singer Machica Mochtar.

“There’s no such thing. We have never heard of it and it is impossible. I know Nono,” Moerdiono’s older sister Soesiati said Sunday as quoted by kapanlagi.com.

Liliek, another sister, said that Nono introduced Poppy to the family but never mentioned that he married Machica in an Islamic ceremony. Liliek added that she was “relieved” about the recent publication of the book Pak Moer - Poppy, The Untold Story.

“It seems that the matter is clearly written about in this book,” she said.
