AKARTA: Model and presenter Nadya Hutagalung is competing with Cameron Diaz and Penelope Cruz in the 2012 International Green Awards Most Responsible Celebrity.

Detikhot.com reported on Wednesday that the 37-year-old star made it on the nomination list for her green lifestyle and active involvement in several environment programs.

The Singapore-based artist was selected as ambassador for the World Wildlife Fund’s Earth Hour in the neighboring country for the last three years. She is also the founder of www.greenkampong.com and one of the executives at the Green School Bali.

For the Green Awards, Nadya is also facing challenges from other big names, including famed environmental activists George Clooney, Orlando Bloom and Robert Redford.

The winner of the award will be selected based on votes gathered on social media like Twitter and Facebook. The voting will end on Aug. 6.
