he Kupang Kota Police District is still in the dark about the murder of an unidentified woman, whose mutilated body was found in a white bag in a garbage bin in Fontein subdistrict, Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
The remains, minus the head, fingers, toes and other parts, were found by a local resident, Ariyandi Tade, who passed the garbage bin on Thursday morning.
The body parts were taken to Bhayangkari Hospital for autopsy. The victim was identified as a woman, but no further information has been released.
AKP Ketut Wiyasa, operational division head at the Kupang Kota Police District said that the police found it difficult to identify the victim since they had yet to find the other body parts.
A team has been formed to search for the missing parts. “The head, fingers, toes, breasts and genitals are gone,” said Ketut, adding that the medical team had carried out DNA tests.
Kupang Kota Police District chief AKBP Tito Basuki Priyatno said that the body was partly decomposed, indicating that the victim had been murdered around four days before it was found in the garbage bin.
