ormer party chairman Anas Urbaningrum announced via his twitter account@anasurbaningrum on Sunday that he had been followed by unidentified groupof people when traveling in Bali during theextraordinary congress of the Democrat Party.

He said that the first time he noticed that he was being followed was after lunch in a restaurant in Ubud, on his way to Denpasar with a friend, Gede Pasek Suardika. The men took photographs of him outside the restaurant and then followed him on motorbikes.

'€œAt the Padanggalak traffic circle, Pasek decided to make a sudden turn,'€ he tweeted.

'€œOne of the motorcycles stopped because it was going the wrong way. A number of other motorcycles also turned at Padanggalak,'€ said Anas.

At the time, Pasek received a text from President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono'€™s personal assistant with a message for Anas.

'€œPasek said, '€˜Wow! He knows that I'€™m with you, Anas'€™,'€ Anas said. (asw/dic)
