The film tells about four friends - Gerard, Leo, Kees and Nico - who work together in Gerard'€™s garage in Rotterdam. Unfortunately business is not going too well; they need '‚¬40,000 fast to save it. A junior employee, Youssoef, suggests that the four men should participate in the Rotterdam Marathon and find a sponsor. They agree, and Youssoef becomes their coach. Initially the training sessions are disasters due to their habit of smoking, drinking and snacking. Each of them also has their own problems back at home. Despite Youssoef'€™s inspiring leadership, the men seem unable to keep up with his training schedule. Admission is free; visit erasmushuis.nlmission.org for more information.
