Yogya promotes nature tourism

he Yogyakartatourism agency is planning to organize a tourism package to encourageparticipants to walk while enjoying nature. The package, dubbed as '€œExploringNature Tourism (JSA) 2013'€, will commence on June 16.
'€œThe event willtake place at the tourism spot of Srigethuk, Playen, Gunung Kidulregency,'€ event organizer Mohammad Haliem said on Saturday, according toAntara news agency.
He said the SriGethuk tourism park was famous for its waterfall as well as eucalyptusand teak forests. He added that it was expected that tourists couldexplore the park on foot and walk around the village to enjoy thescenery, including the hamlets, and other interesting spots.
'€œWe expect some3,000 participants from all over Indonesia. All ages can attend theevent,'€ Haliem said. Besides Sri Gethuk, Gunung Kidul is also famous forits pristine beaches and caving activities. (nai/dic)
