People infected with HIV/AIDS still face discrimination in health facilities in Lampung.
Mariana, a patient, said it was usual for medical practitioners to wear multiple covers when dealing with people with HIV/AIDS.
'A doctor even told my friend that she deserved to be infected. My friend's condition got even worse after the visit,' she told the audience at the Independent Journalist Alliance (AJI) Lampung office on Saturday. Kompas.com reported.
Another patient, Ade Komariah, said that she had been treated badly when visited a doctor for a prescription.
'Instead of giving two types of retroviral drugs, they just gave me one,' she said.
Elvin Harahap, another patient, they wanted to meet the city health service agency officials on Sunday.
According to the Health service agency, there were 25 HIV/AIDS infected patients in Lampung last year.(fan/dic)
