ewly installed Jambi Police chief Brig. Gen. Satriya Hari Prasetya has vowed to eradicate corruption and illegal mining in his new jurisdiction.
'I will prioritize graft cases and illegal mining. Our one-year target is to tackle 16 graft cases,' he said on Saturday.
To prove that he means business, a minimum budget of Rp 208 million (US$21039.84) per graft case as been allocated to finance investigation activities.
As for illegal mining, he acknowledged that it was increasing in Jambi and therefore strong measures were necessary.
'We are investigating illegal mining in Jambi. We will use any possible tools to track the culprits,' he said. (hrl/dic)
